School of Applied Science (SAS)
Photo booth made using upcycled items as photodrama (eg pill boxes, syringes, crocheted marine animals etc). Participants will be encouraged to take pictures with sustainable messaging and share on their social media.
School of Engineering (SEG)
Introduction to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)
The booth will showcase various types of UAVs. Visitors could get the opportunity to experience “flying” a drone using the simulator. Additionally, the School will share with visitors on the comprehensive unmanned aircraft course offerings, designed to provide training and assessment for both recreational and educational purposes.
School of Sports and Health (SSH)
The booth will primarily highlight our Specialist Diplomas in the domains of Sports and Health, showcasing its comprehensive focus on advancing expertise in these dynamic fields.
Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to engage with the SMARTFit – agility machine, offering a hands-on experience that complements the Specialist Diplomas in the domains of Sports and Health. This interactive element will provide a practical insight into the advanced techniques and technologies integral to our programmes.
School of Infocomm (SOI)
Cup Stacking with AI Monitoring
Developed an understanding of how AI technologies, such as Computer Vision and Video Analytics, can be utilized to enhance traditional activities like cup stacking, fostering curiosity and appreciation for the integration of technology into everyday experiences.
Learning Outcome: Recognise the use of AI technologies like Computer Vision and Video Analytics in everyday experiences.
School of Hospitality (SOH)
Discover the art of coffee-making at our booth! The School of Hospitality, in collaboration with the Singapore Coffee Association (SCA), is promoting the SCA-ACF Barista Certification—a recognized qualification designed to elevate your barista skills and knowledge.
Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or aspiring professional, this is the perfect chance to experience the craft firsthand and explore how this certification can kickstart your coffee journey! Attendees will understand the origins of Coffee, learn the different coffee beans, their origins, and flavor profiles. To enhance the alumnus learning experience, a practical station will be set up, allowing alumni to engage in hands-on activities such as brewing coffee and perfecting milk frothing techniques.
School of Business (SBZ)
Our booth will spotlight our offerings in Business Innovation, Digital Marketing, and E-commerce, providing a well-rounded approach to cultivating expertise in these high-growth areas.
Visitors will also have the unique opportunity to engage with AI-marketing tools and participate in LEGO® Serious Play® sessions, providing an immersive, hands-on experience that deepens their understanding of innovative strategies in Digital Marketing and E-commerce.
School of Technology for Arts, Media and Design (STA)
Guess The Whoosh: Foley Sound Design Experience
Step into the immersive world of sound design with Guess The Whoosh, an interactive booth activity at the STA booth! Participants will use a variety of everyday objects to creatively produce sound effects for exciting game scenarios displayed on the screen. Discover how sound design shapes gaming experiences as you collaborate, experiment, and bring the on-screen action to life with your own Foley creations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there a registration fee?
A: Admission to Balik Kampong is $10.00 (excluding booking fees) per carnival stamp card. Each stamp card entitles alumni to take part in the different activities and the super draw. However, general admission to the event is free.
Q: Can I bring my family members and friends to the event?
A: Friends and family members of alumni are welcome at Balik Kampong.
Q: Are there baby-friendly facilities at the event?
A: Nursing rooms and diaper changing facilities are available at E14B and E15B . You may approach any of our event volunteers for directions.
Q: Can I bring my children to the event?
A: Yes! Children are welcome. Please note that there are age and height restrictions for some activities, such as the bouncy castle etc. Socks are required for the bouncy castle. You may wish to bring along socks for your children.
Q: I registered but did not receive a confirmation email. What should I do?
A: Check your spam/junk folder. If you still can’t find the email, contact us at help-graduate@rp.edu.sg for assistance.
Q: Are the canteens opened during the carnival?
A: The food stalls at Koufu located beside E1 will be in operation till 2:00pm. The drink stall will be in operation till 4:00pm. Alternatively, there are also food and drink stalls open at the Lawn and the North Canteen.
