ACADEMY FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION @ RP

The Academy for Continuing Education @ RP (ACE) supports Republic Polytechnic’s (RP) Continuing Education and Training (CET) for adult learners. Collaborating with the centre, we offer skill and knowledge upgrading programmes for those who are looking for careers advancements or for personal growth. The Advantages of Learning with RP We are an institution that firmly believes in excellence learning. RP’s way of learning has been designed to embrace the holistic development and career preparation of the individual. Our CET trainers are RP’s full time Academics and Academic Associates. Our courses are specially tailored to suit an adult’s way of learning.

NANYANG TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY

A research-intensive public university, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) has 33,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students in the colleges of Engineering, Business, Science, and Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, and its Interdisciplinary Graduate School. NTU’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine was established jointly with Imperial College London. The Singapore Management University (SMU) is internationally recognised for its world-class research and distinguished teaching. SINGAPORE UNIVERSITY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES

The Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) is the sixth autonomous university in Singapore. SUSS champions’ lifelong learning, offers degrees primarily in the domain of social sciences and applied learning. The university collaborates with local and overseas academic partners in curriculum development, teaching, exchange programmes and research. SINGAPORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is Singapore’s university of applied learning. SIT’s vision is to be a leader in innovative learning by integrating learning, industry and community. Its mission is to nurture and develop individuals who build on their interests and talents to impact society in meaningful ways. SIT offers applied degree programmes targeted at growth sectors of the economy with a unique pedagogy that integrates work and study. SIT’s degree programmes feature an eight to 12-month Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP) which exemplifies the best of university-industry collaboration. Since its establishment in 2009, SIT has grown from its inaugural batch of 500 students in 10 degree programmes to over 6,000 students in 43 degree programmes from across SIT and 10 overseas university partners. These degree programmes are grouped into five clusters – Engineering (ENG), Chemical Engineering and Food Technology (CEFT), Infocomm Technology (ICT), Health and Social Sciences (HSS), as well as Design and Specialised Businesses (DSB). SIT also aims to cultivate in its students four distinctive traits, or the SIT-DNA, which will prepare them to be ‘thinking tinkerers’, who are ‘able to learn, unlearn and relearn’, be ‘catalysts for transformation’ and finally, become ‘grounded in the community’.

Singapore University of Technology

SINGAPORE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is the fourth autonomous university to be established in Singapore. SUTD’s mission is to advance knowledge and nurture technically grounded leaders and innovators to serve societal needs. At SUTD, design as a discipline cuts across the curriculum and provides a novel framework for the research and educational programmes. SUTD undergraduate students are granted either a Bachelor of Engineering or a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in one of its four areas of focus, called “pillars”: Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD), Engineering Product Development (EPD), Engineering Systems and Design (ESD) or Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD). It also offers an MIT–SUTD Dual master’s degree programme, a full-time programme leading to a degree from both MIT and SUTD. SUTD also offers Ph.D. degrees in each of its four pillars. SUTD is the only institution in Singapore apart from the Yale-NUS College to follow a holistic admissions process.
